They call it leftist hypocrisy. I call it cowardice. Plain cowardice.

Satire has been a sanctuary historically monopolized by progressives, originally used as a discreet tool against Western religious fundamentalism. Of course, an authentic Muslim should not dress well, speak lucidly nor drink, of all things, a skinny flat white coffee. The real Muslim is scruffy. A credible Muslim can only be inarticulate, someone who requires an intermediary to ‘explain’ their anger, invariably through the prism of leftist ideological dogma. And if a Muslim does speaks for themselves, they must only do so when full of rage, obviously.

How patronizing.

As another blogger accurately noted in response, the problem begins when journalists and others seek out “community representatives,” or “credible Muslim voices” to fit into convenient boxes. This relies on so many assumptions that it is hard to know where to begin. Not all Muslims wish to express themselves in public through a communal religious identity. Identities are multiple, and some may wish to speak instead just as citizens in their professional capacity, through their political party, or their neighborhood body. Those Muslim who do speak through their communal religious identity are not homogenous. This particularly holds true because majoritarian Islam has no organized clergy, and no pope. The question of religious “representation” becomes particularly difficult to achieve as a result. And in its most extreme sense it is undesirable anyway, leading logically to nothing but ISIS-style bloodshed and theocracy. Muslim “credibility” is just as flimsy an idea to pursue doggedly. In fact, this is nothing but a variant of the African-American “not black enough” theme. Who decides whose “Muslim experience” is real, and whose is not? Is the credible Muslim only he who dresses in Arab robes, eats spicy food and drinks cava? And yet we then worry about profiling?

The great irony is that, unlike many of today’s champagne socialists and shisha-jihadists my entire life has been a prototype of their archetypal aggrieved Muslim. Unlike the Guardian’s private school, Oxbridge-educated journalist David Shariatmadari, I am a state school-educated Muslim and racial minority. I have been stabbed at by neo-Nazis, falsely arrested at gunpoint by Essex police, expelled from college, divorced, estranged from my child, and tortured in Egyptian prison, and mandatorily profiled. I’ve had my DNA forcibly taken at Heathrow Airport under Schedule 7 Laws, which deprive terror suspects of the right to silence at UK ports of entry and exit, among much else. I’ve been blacklisted from other countries. I am every grievance regressive leftists traditionally harp on. Yet their first-world bourgeois brains seem to malfunction because I refuse to spew theocratic hate, or fit their little “angry Muslim” box. Yet they talk to me about privilege, and non-fat lattes?

The habit does not make the sport!

Just like a hologram that changes as one ever so slightly turns the angle by which she is looking, I saw a different side of these Saudi Arabian women than the oppressed females who are constantly being portrayed in the media.

These women are incredibly intelligent. While their education might be segregated after a certain age, most of the girls will not only complete high school, but many will go on to partake in the largest scholarship program in the world and study abroad at various universities. One of the most fascinating lunches we had was with a roundtable of women ranging from the first female lawyer to entrepreneurs, and from a filmmaker to a coach. The ladies we met were incredibly inspiring not only because of their intelligence, but also their determination, resourcefulness and resolve.

They recognize that the road to progress is paved with passion as well as patience, and they are relentless in their pursuit to push forward.Courtesy Ruth RileyThe Saudi players’ eagerness to learn more about basketball left a lasting impression on Ruth Riley.Besides the incredible hospitality that was shown to us everywhere we went, there was another common theme at all of our clinics. Regardless of age, we found that all the players were extremely excited to absorb anything we could teach them.

It would be unrealistic for us to have an expectation of a high talent level in a society that does not openly accept — let alone promote — female sports.

The habit does not make the monk, they say. For the good and the bad.

That is… an abaya and a veil won’t make anyone a worst person… nor a better one.

And same as this… not wearing covers won’t make you free.

Same as wearing them won’t liberate you.

Also in Islam, there are people learning that the dress does not make one a monk…

I’m steadfast in my belief that exploring and wandering are the reasons I know I am Muslim. Learning about Buddhism brought me closer to Islam because it taught me what surrendering means, a lesson none of my Islamic studies teachers have been able to teach me even though that’s literally what Islam means. My Islamic studies teachers taught me how to how to obsess about the mundane—about all the things I’m doing incorrectly and therefore my prayers will not be accepted. They taught me guilt. They taught me fear. They taught me that being a good Muslim is difficult. I never quite rejected Islam, I just took a break from going through the motions of prayer out of guilt. I wanted to see if I could be compelled to return to my prayer rug. I did. I returned when I felt like my life was empty without worship. I prayed out of gratitude. I prayed and it gave me solace. Ablution became less about splashing water over various parts of my body and felt more like a daily cleanse. A baptism. I stopped obsessing about the small things and my new mantra was “Al-‘amal bil niyat,” which means actions are dependent on their intentions. My other mantra was “Al deen yusr,” which translates to religion is ease. Exploring and wandering gave me the tools I needed to critically look at the hypocrisy of the ‘ulama’a (Islamic elites/scholars/clerics). I realized that I did not have to practice my religion from the point of view of a largely misogynistic group of people. Two years ago, I denounced most hadith (prophetic traditions and sayings), fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and tafseer (interpretation) because these three things, all of which play a huge part in how Islam is practiced today, are filtered through the perspective of Muslims born into normalized extreme patriarchy.

(SO OF COURSE, DON’T FORGET… IF YOU ARE IN SPAIN OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY OF “THE WEST”… YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BEHAVE ACCORDING TO THESE SAME WAYS THAT YOU REQUEST FROM US IN YOUR HOMELANDS)

This catholic learnt long ago that the outside does never make the believer… because we don’t believe outside.

We believe within.

Humans, I mean, not only Catholics…

God can’t be exclusive ruler of a single exclusive club. I also learnt that. Long ago.

So don’t be fast to judge people’s relation with God, because you can only access to the outside, and there is not where we and God meet, hence… as far as you won’t get access to men’s spirits, the power to condemn or save human souls will NEVER be in your hands.

Never.

Another Islam is possible! (or, better said…. we must look better at it?)

…. Beyond what Islamists themselves and many miopic western politicians believe and spread as an immovable truth, Islam is not a belief from bloodthirsty – retarded – incult – intolerant – monsters.

With this I am not saying I take Islam as a truth. It is not a path that I’d take, honestly,… but I know many Muslims, myself… and I know that Reza Aslan is perfectly right in his depiction of how American Media loves to distort truth in order to sell more minutes of audience.

On US calculated myopia and other barbarities crushing Gaza’s future…

While Y. was crying massacre in Rafah, the White House spokesman released a statement calling the capture of the Israeli officer and the killing of his two comrades “a barbaric violation” of the cease-fire agreement. The restrained American spokesman used the word “barbaric” for the first time in this war.Nothing else was considered barbaric. Not the Israeli shell that landed two days earlier on Shujaiyeh’s crowded market killing 17 people and wounding 150 at the height of another cease-fire, not the shell that fell on an UNRWA school where 3,000 refugees were hiding, not the bombing of the Gaza power station, the bombing of the university, the bomb dropped by those excellent Israel Air Force pilots on a four-story dwelling in Khan Yunis without warning, killing 35, including 18 children and eight women – apparently the most deadly bombing in Gaza ever.Only the abduction and the killing of two soldiers. This is an American spokesman also afflicted with racism; “barbarity” is preserved only for one side. Yes, Hamas is known for its barbarity, as are all the Palestinians, and word of that barbarity has finally reached Washington in another Israeli public-relations feat. But the truth is that this war has been barbaric since it started. The dead are already more numerous than in the previous barbaric attack, Operation Cast Lead, including the shocking number of civilians killed.Relative to the size of Gaza’s population, the numbers are approaching the dimensions of the war in Syria, the one Israel bandies about to prove the Arabs’ animal nature. Last week, a record-breaking week, 1,700 people were killed in Syria. In Gaza, whose population is less than one-tenth that of Syria’s, about that same number have been killed in three and a half weeks of Israeli intoxication of the senses – not a major difference.

(The way US likes things to be. And many say it’s because Bible says so! )

And this was published before Israelis agreed with Hamas statements that they did not have any Israeli soldier kidnapped… same as they had to agree with Hamas in the fact they had not kidnapped those three teenagers … but wtf… as if these retarded leading Israel gave a damn thing about it at all.

Or their blind people!

… once more, after hundreds of killed, all they will say will be “ooopsie”… followed by some “better them than us!”… and Americans will agree. After all… they also consider themselves a chosen people in a new Promised Land.

In the last five weeks three Israeli teenagers were murdered in the West Bank, a Palestinian boy was burnt alive, an American kid was brutally beaten up by Israeli police, and now over 40 Gazan kids have died in Israeli air strikes. This is not the “Middle East conflict”, it’s becoming a war on children. And we are becoming numb to this global shame. The media makes out like this is an intractable conflict between two equal warring parties, but it is not. Palestinian extremists’ attacks on innocent civilians must be condemned and ended but the root of the conflict lies elsewhere — in the dispossession of the Palestinian people. Israel currently occupies, colonises, bombs, raids, and controls the water, trade and the borders of a legally free nation that has been recognised by the United Nations. In Gaza, Israel has created the largest open-air prison in the world, and then blockaded it. Now as bombs fall, the families, literally have no way to get out. These are war crimes and we wouldn’t accept that anywhere else, why accept it in Palestine? Half a century ago Israel and its Arab neighbours went to war and Israel occupied the West Bank and Gaza. Occupying territory after war happens all the time. But no military occupation should turn into a decades long tyranny which only fuels and benefits extremists who use terror to target the innocent. And who suffers? The majority of loving families on both sides that just want freedom and peace.

Israel-Palestine: This is how it ends.

20140714-221749-80269159

Source: Flikr – WiZaNe.

Some weeks ago, when the Palestinian Unity Government was made, Hamas accepted to adhere to a political entity that acknowledges the existence of the State of Israel, inside the limits of 1967 borderlines, same as the UN have stated.

This meant the end for any Zionist ambition to annex, expand or incorporate further territory to its legal borders. They know that all land they acquire must be taken by force, hence, peace is the worst perspective for Zionists.

They simply can’t keep stealing like they did until now.

A day will come when they will face the facts we all see and can’t be hidden anymore, and they will say, same as others said in 1945 “we didn’t know”… but until then, Israel and its silent public opinion will keep growing over stolen ground.

Yes… according to the biggest human organisation, everything taken out of the 1967 borderlines is STOLEN.

So please, share and spread.

Maybe this way we can stop the bombing of the 21st Century Ghetto, in Gaza.

I can’t help thinking in Warszaw or Krakow when I think about Gaza tonight. Maybe it is because the speech and ways of the Zionists does not differ much more than a comma from those who treated the Jews that same way during the rebellions in the ghettoes during WWII.

Ah, yes,… there is no extermination camps nowadays. But that does not change the facts.

Gaza is today’s Warszaw.

Convert Confessions

And I say… A MUST READ FROM A VERY, VERY, VERY CORAGEOUS WOMAN.

These questions are smthg I expected in many muslims and converts.

Same as in many christians like I am.

At least I made my questions and got my answers, and that prevents me (as much as i can avoid it, because we’re human after all) of being judgemental… because that’s often the first sin of every religious person: To point out our accusing fingers towards someone else.

This woman teaches a life lesson for all of us: Humans.

We must have the courage to take responsibility of our actions and be honests with ourselves and the world.

It’s really worth a reading.

Or more!

Dear muslim friends: I was thinking about Anti-Islamism tonight.

In the last days, Boko Haram has killed 142 people in attacks in Nigeria, while more than 60 people were killed yesterday in a funeral bombing in Sadr City (Iraq), and some 75 ppl died in Pakistan after they bombed one of the very few churches in that country, and of course, news of today tell us how Al-Shebap somali islamist militias have killed more than 65 people in an attack against customers of a mall in Kenia… and now Kenian and Israeli soldiers are trying to finish them before they kill the rest of the kidnapped terrorised innocent customers. (Apparently they let muslims get away and killed or retained the rest). Some annalists say this bloodshed only works in increasing their numbers.

All this has happened in…3 days?…. and I am sure the list is widely extensive, not talking abt Egypt, Turkey, Syria,… and many other places.

I can be absolutely sure that all these guys were smiling and shouting Allahu Akhbar while carrying on these actions. All of them.

My dear muslim friends: I am starting to have enough.

I tend to be conciliatory and try to keep cold mind and remember that a huge majority of you are very normal people who would not kill a fly, same as most non-muslims.

But I am having enough. Enough of fake sorrow. Enough of fake condolence expressed by words but not by actions. Am having enough of hearing that all this is caused by CIA, Israel, and whatever… when we all know that all those crazy bastards who smile while killing in the name of their God have been taught and inspired by imams in mosques, in madrasas, in charity associations, with verses of the same Qur’an you pray with.

And you do NOTHING.

3.bild

You do nothing to stop this bloodshed. To expulse those who recruit young guys and brainwash them to send them to fulfill Death’s plan.

You do nothing against those who appear to be the main brake for the social, cultural and historical development of every muslim nation. Many of you just complain that all this is orchestrated by US, Israel and whatever,… turning a blind eye to the fact that every trigger, every button, every mobile, every carbomb, every throat-cutting knife,…. has been managed by the hand of a so-called devote muslim who killed, or died killing, and shouting…  Allahu Akhbar.

… and you will do NOTHING about it.

You will say that they are not real muslims, that they are mistaking islam and you will complain abt it but you will do nothing, except eventually blame US, Israel, Russia or eventually the Gulf monarchs, or start a dissertation about different islamic sects, kinds, schools, approaches, cultures, ethnias….

Today I heard someone around here, saying in full anger abt muslims… “they should be all killed… all of them,…. just in case.” ..and also “bit by bit they are adding reason to the ways of israelis.”

The one who said this is not an american redneck retard. He is not an incult.

His level of tolerance for islam is simply reaching zero.

Mine is not as that…. mostly because I know many of you, my dear muslim friends, and I know that for you, as for most muslims, Islam is a way for peace. But we are starting to have enough of perceiving such inaction in muslims. Even if it was to clean the name of their belief, against those among them who stain their faith and its supposed values.

IT’S NOT OUR TASK TO GET INVOLVED IN CLEANING UP YOUR RELIGIOUS STABLISHMENT SHAMES. MOSTLY BECAUSE FOR US, EVEN THIS ANGER IS NOT RELIGIOUS.

WE , MOSTLY A SOCIETY OF DISBELIEVERS IN CHURCH, BUT WITH A CHRISTIAN CULTURAL AND RELIGIOUS BACKGROUND, ARE NOT BACK IN MIDDLE AGES, COPYING THE DOCTRINE OF A HOLY WAR THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY ALIEN TO JESUS’ TEACHINGS.

WE LEARNT THAT LESSON AND MADE A CHANGE IN ALL THAT: NO MORE “DEUS LE VOLT”. GOD DOESN’T WANT US TO KILL IN HIS NAME. PERIOD.

SO IF WE GO AT WAR INTO A MUSLIM AREA, LAND, NATION, … IS FOR POLITICS, NOT FOR RELIGION. PERIOD.

BLAME POLITICIANS AND TARGET POLITICAL OBJECTIVES BUT LET RELIGION ASIDE. PERIOD.

Or we, same as happened in the Middle Ages, will also end up developing those ideas about (un)holy wars, something we have massively abstained of doing all over developed countries, you know?

For everyone’s sake, it’s you who must evolve, once for all. Before we go back with you. Because idiocy is extremely contagious.

The cause for war (FOR ALL WARS, STUPID!) is politics, territory, resources, power… SO KEEP IT AS THAT. And stop teaching people that it’s because God is great. That simply ashames God more than anything.

KHALÁS!

Clean your own mess, instead of looking for someone to complain for it.

War… what’s it useful for? (… ask The Boss… yeah… Bruce. He also knows the answer)

What will happen now to the chemical weapons? I don’t really care very much. I thought from the beginning that the hysteria about them was vastly overblown. Assad is quite capable of committing all the atrocities he wants without poison gas.It should be remembered why his father produced this gas in the first place. He believed that Israel was developing nuclear weapons. Not being able to aspire to such expensive and technically advanced devices himself, he settled for much cheaper chemical and biological weapons as a deterrent. According to a secret 1982 CIA report, Israel was producing such weapons itself. So now we are in for a long process of negotiations, mutual recriminations, inspections, transfers of materials, and so on. Good for many months, if not years. In the meantime, no American intervention. No regional war. Just the usual mutual bloodletting in Syria.ISRAEL IS furious. Obama is a wimp. A coward. How dare he listen to American public opinion? Who will ever believe him again? After this red line was crossed, who will believe in the much broader line Obama has drawn in the sands of Iran?Frankly, nobody. But not because of Syria. There is absolutely no similarity between the situation in Syria and in Iran. Even if the “limited” action had led to a bigger operation, as was quite possible, it would still have been a small war with little effect on American national interests. A war with Iran is a very different matter. As I have written many times before, a war with Iran would immediately lead to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a world-wide oil crisis, a global economic catastrophe with unimaginable consequences.I repeat: there will be no American – and no Israeli – attack on Iran. Period.

Now back to check news abt Fukushima… ah wait… they just chose that country for 2020 Olympics uh? …. geeez.

Syria’s Rebels can’t agree even in the colour of blood, it seems.

“We support a strike targeting the regime’s stocks of chemical weapons, as this is what has been announced by US officials,” Maj. Mohammad Yahyya Ali, commander of the northern and western fronts of the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) Ihfad al-Rasul Brigades, one of the largest militias, told Al-Monitor over Skype, “but they also need to hit the vital military articulations and establish a no-fly zone.”

Most interventionists agree upon rejecting a full-scale deployment by land, whereas they complain like everyone else about the lack of arms. “We don’t need men, but supplies of weapons,” confirmed Ali.

On the contrary, the armed groups opposed to intervention are wary of Western interests, regardless of whether troops will be deployed on Syrian soil or not. “On principle, we are against foreign intervention because the locals should decide how to get rid of this criminal (President Bashar al-Assad),” the political wing of the Ahrar al-Sham Islamist movement told Al-Monitor in a written interview. “In case of a strike, it will be launched to achieve the interests of their countries, aloof from the interest of the Syrian people. If they were concerned about the situation of Syrians due to the crimes of the regime, they wouldn’t have delayed a response until now.” Ahrar al-Sham’s political wing announced, “All foreign troops entering Syria by land, whether Iranian or American, will be treated as occupying forces.”

Even some interventionist factions show concern about the interests served by the military operation, emphasizing the risk of seeing Israel strengthened by the consequences. “Foreign intervention is welcome as long as it targets those forces who are keeping under siege our cities and villages: the Republican Guards, the 4th Division (an elite brigade led by Bashar’s brother Maher al-Assad) and the security branches,” Lt. Col. Abu ‘Othman, commander of the Al-Fajr Brigade (FSA) in Eastern Ghouta, affirmed in a Skype interview with Al-Monitor. “The West should not strike the modern National Air Force Defense, as this is needed to defend our country from Israel.”

Others argue that the priority should be rescuing Syrian civilians, rather than believing in the defensive nature of a military apparatus which has been rarely used against the Jewish state. “The Air Force has never been used against Israel, but only on the Syrian people, therefore it needs to be targeted,” Ihfad al-Rasul’s Ali objected, adding, “The priority is to stop spilling Syrian blood.”

So…. as far as I see it, the so called “moderate” rebels are everything except a unity (keep in mind that the Angry Beards from Al-Nusra and others haven’t been asked in the article about the issue) and every one expects western intervention as if Santa Claus was coming to town, and expecting a different present in the shape of a bomb that satisfies what they asked for in their wish letters…. wtf.

What can we expect of this attack.

Really… What can we expect that benefits those syrians that seem to concern Mr. Obama, Mr. Cameron and Msr. Hollande sooooo deeply?

Will it work to end this war faster?

Will it be useful to fix the issue of who launched that chemical attack  making sure  who is to blame …beyond the fact that there were chemical weapons and lethal gasses involved in it?

Will it work to restitute the dignity of so many victims on both sides?

Will do smthg good after approx. 110000 ppl have dead?

Will fix the situation in order to allow those millions of displaced and refugees to get back home, avoiding a Syrian naqba and all the personal tragedies that are already becoming alarming?

Will it be, in the long term, a way to make Syrians, and specially that million of displaced children, see a future of peace, prosperity and national dignity?

Will it keep Syria as a possible nation?

Because if these “moderate” guys don’t agree in the colour of shit, what kind of future can they offer to Syria…  other than chaos, fight and bloodshed for years as happens today in Iraq?

It’s too obvious that they also disagree that all Syrian blood is the same colour and quality, and for each one of them, just their own supporters are to be granted a safe future.

To be honest… that last paragraph seems the most certain sentence of this article.

And that just offers us the darkest of all horizons for Syria and its people…. if west attacks Syria.

Assad could be a dictator, and many people were opressed by him and can be oppressed in the future if he stays in power as he is now,… but he and his father led a nation. Not a chaos where everyone asks west or someone from outside to intervene, send cash and weapons and secure their quote of power.

So… DON’T BE A FOOL TRYING TO MAKE US SWALLOW YOUR FOOLISH SOLUTIONS AND LOOK FOR A NEW STRATEGY THAT INVOLVES FORCING EVERYONE TO SIT DOWN, IMPOSING A NEGOTIATION AND A PLAN TO OFFER SYRIANS A FUTURE. Gen. EISENHOWER AND Gen. MARSHALL SHOWED U HOW TO DO IT WITH EUROPE IN 1945.

STUDY HISTORY. AGAIN.

REACH AGREEMENTS WITH RUSSIA, THE GULF NATIONS, IRAN, EUROPE OR WHOEVER AND MAKE THEM ALL WORK TOWARDS A SOLUTION THAT WON’T EVER FIX THE SCARS THAT THIS WAR HAS LEFT BUT AT LEAST WILL CERTAINLY CUT THE BLEEDING FAR MORE THAN DROPPING CRUISE MISSILES OVER SYRIANS.

Because sirs…, and specially Mr Obama:

that’s mostly the kind of job you should have done since this shit started.

You didn’t ask for a Nobel Price of Peace. We know it.

But world gave it to you because you were expected to be the man who would achieve peace and make a change in the way USA had done things till then.

Consider that as a mandate from us: the world, Mr. President.

Because YES, YOU CAN.
